Day 10 Sunday

In the morning we had breakfast at the airbnb with groceries. Richard wants to visit a number of places today and his goal is to sail a boat on the Sea of Galilee. We first went to Capernaum, the city where Jesus lived for 3 years and performed many miracles. In the meantime Richard can get around with an automatic car and we are here at about 11.00. Beautiful ruins and also bizarre many tour buses, but this aside. We read some signs and suddenly my attention was caught by music.

I filmed it and there was a group of Americans singing and I wanted to listen what a man was telling the group.
The man quoted in Matt 8 verse 5-13, just what we also read together yesterday. It is about a Centurion who asked Jesus to heal his servant. I just sat down on a bench with Richard in the shade of a large tree.
The pastor also told about the dead sea scrolls. That the bible is now exactly the bible of 2000 years ago and even older. I was overcome with emotion and cried.  The sermon was over and the people around us asked where we came from. They came from California. A man can pronounce Scheveningen well and he said that he visited his uncle Leo there and he said to me Yeshua Hamashiach, the exact Hebrew translation of the necklace I ordered yesterday from America. The name means “to rescue, to save, or to deliver.” A man can pronounce Scheveningen well and he said that he visited his uncle Leo there and he said to me Yeshua Hamashiach, the exact Hebrew translation of the necklace I ordered yesterday from America. The name means “to rescue, to save, or to deliver.” I told them that 3 months ago I still didn't believe and 2 months ago suddenly I did and that I was baptized yesterday. They cheered and clapped and wanted to pray for me and gave me hugs. More whining. How bizarre what God does to me.

Tried a boat at National Park, but unfortunately this is only possible in groups. After this we went to the mount of Beatitudes. We saw a couple here taking wedding photos. We sat down in the shade and read the Beatitudes (Matt 5, 1-16).

Toen naar het plaatsje Tabgha waar Jezus 2 vissen en 5 broden zou hebben vermenigvuldigd.  Hope - Prayer - Faith - Peace. We walked to the beach and here I had Ries pick some stones from the water for my sand collection.

Now we go to Magdala to have a look. We park in a parking lot and 40 meters further on we happen to see the restaurant Magdalena, which we have been advised to eat. We reserve here at 6 pm.
Looks luxurious. We go to Magdala's Chapel, where friends of ours Inge & Rob have been and showed us pictures of it. There is an altar in the shape of a boat in the chapel. The marble resembles water and outside is the Sea of Galilee.
We get into a conversation with the ticket lady. A Spanish woman named Anna. She was brought here by God and she tells the story of the origin of this church. All of a sudden there were ruins here. Very special story. There are 7 pillars in the hallway of important women in the life of Jesus. Beautiful painting of the bleeding woman who touched and healed Jesus.

Dined in Magdalena, bit underdressed. Go home, have another glass of wine on the veranda and then go to sleep.
